Is your pad a little more crash than flash?

Is your pad a little more crash than flash if so listen up? One of the most fabulous things you can do to inject instant personality and up the style ratings in your pad is to play around with scale.
Think the weeniest tiniest chairs set against say a super sized lamp.  Below Molly (my dog) and I hang out at home. Upstairs (also see below) I’ve hung a huge mirror on a small wall which if you follow the rules (please don’t) you simply wouldn’t do. The key is to introduce touches of the unexpected that make you smile.
As our interior design practice expands from glamorous apartments in Germany to hip London townhouses to groovy pads in the country we are encouraging everyone to embrace these super chic changes that delight and taunt the eye!Pic

Thanks for these tips! I’m so glad you’re posting more on your blog. I love your stye. Speaking of, I went to buy your book a few days after Amazon emailed and said it was available to order. Now it’s temporarily out of stock. Any ideas on when it will become available again? Thanks!

Thank you for your very kind of email. We have been overwhelmed with the response on the book which is very exciting. There are some other sites that sell it or if you would like a signed copy do contact the store (email:contact@atelierbypost.com) and we can send you one out from there. Amazon should be restocking in about a week or so.

I’ve been browsing through your blogs for inspiration all day, I love how the colour on the walls looks so different depending on the light. Are the walls in both pictures down pipe?

Yes both of these walls are in my house and take on a zillion different tones depending on the time of day and the light
