Vintage letters numbers on a wall anything to do with font infact you name it I want it. Whether made from zinc, Bakelite or wood vintage words are unique and add a whimsical atmosphere to walls – the fun is making up the words with the letters you find. I am favouring words like wow, or love (but then everyone has love) or something perhaps a little more provocative (but then the in laws and the raised eye brows spring to mind so I chicken out as eyebrows get raised enough as it is). There is a fabulous place in Paris which stocks only vintage letters and it’s in my little black book. As the sun is shining I feel like sharing so check out www.kidimo.com and in the meantime a couple of images to inspire.
Adore this image from the letters to the shelves to the chair.

I want that ‘S’ ! Love the shelves, and the leg on that – is that a daybed?
Thanks once again for being a champion of something i love. I have a great old French rusty letter R from a old french cafe on my mantlepiece and I adore it. Also have to say I was reading this months Marie Claire magazine and got a great surprise to see a beautiful article on your house. The pictures are some of the best I have seen of your house( and I have seen a lot)!!, not that I am some scary stalker!!!!, just love interiors x
Thanks for the tip didn’t realise the house was in Marie Claire shall go and buy
Dont magazines have to ask or tell you a feature of your home is being published? x
Not always most cases no – generally the copyright is owned by the photographer who sells the images around the world to lots of different publications plus libraries. So more often than not I don’t know x
I love the light up letters
