Busy few days ahead for me – I’m at Anthropologie on the King’s Road on Sunday with Holly Becker and Jo Cepestick authors of the fabulous interiors tome Decorate as well as stylist and photographer Leslie Shewring. We will be yabbering about mood boards fortified by Bloody Mary’s and snacks thanks to Anthropologie and the event starts promptly at 1pm. You need to RSVP to rsvp-uk@anthropologie.com if you would like to join us. Also on Wednesday I’m giving a seminar hosted by Livingetc and KLC on how to create chemistry in interiors – my most favourite subject so excited about that. Creating chemistry and emotion is relatively easy there aren’t any rules as such but a large part of it is making a space a relaxed and as un formulaic as you can. You need a big healthy dose of tongue in cheek ness – whether you play around with scale and put large items in small rooms or teeny tiny items in large rooms its all about that unexpected twist. Of course I am a fan of plonking the odd animal find in my rooms – it lightens the mood in a nano second as seen here is this lovely bathroom (photography Damian Russell)
Short one from me today, sick with a heavy cold which I need to get rid of by Sunday – happy weekend everyone x

You are so generous sharing tips and trick so here’s a little in return – hope you like it. It’s a broadcast about a Danish architecht Claus Bonderup who lives in a house he drew himself. He used to be a minimalist but meeting his wife artist Anne Just he wanted luxuriance and life. The broadcast is about his work and it shows his house which is absolutely fab even though not dark. He has this thing for stuffed animals that made people think he was a bit off but he couldn’t care less. I think you would like him as well his house
Or maybe it’s just me because I adore both his house and him as a person. Only one thing – they only speak danish….but do ask if it doesn’t make any sense then I’II try to sum up the conversation. The garden is inspired by english gardens and is open to the public should you be Denmark one day.
Hope you get well soon and happy weekend to you x

Thank you for this much appreciated. Have just watched it didn’t understand a word but the language of design is pretty self explanatory – very interesting space and adore the garden. Again thank you
You are very welcome
