4.30 am and its another crazy one today. We’re all off to an antiques market if I can get anyone out of bed, there are alot of moans and groans on all fronts I can tell you. First off to the store, pinching a chandelier from there and hanging it in my new school room (I know I know all products should remain in the store I here you cry), Graham louder than most, but bugger it. I need a chandelier, there is one in the store so what is the big deal! From there we are off to a antiques market as I am on the hunt (a little close to deadline I know) for some seriously cool art, lamps etc to go in the new school room. As we are so busy my plan seeing as we can’t really spare the time is to run around the fair at top notch speed. I’ve given us a hour to get in, around and out, buy van loads (except we don’t have a van) and head home happy campers all before 10am!
Haven’t mentioned this part of the plan to the troops fearing I might have mutiny on my hands so thought I should wait until we actually get to the fair! Happy days
Below some seriously cool art, the kind of stuff I would love to find but won’t

Good luck! Sounds like a fun morning to me…& would love to see what you find!
good luck with your hunt!! can you advise of some good antiques markets…..
tnx
Of course, Kempton every second Tuesday in London and then Ardingly and Newark ever other much which are part of the DMG fairs. With the DMG fairs if you go the first day you have to pay a trade price of £20 to enter but its way worth it by the second day all the good stuff has gone.
Absolutely love your style & design Abigail! Do you stock the amazing tall white lamp with yellow shade? Could you also recommend any antiques fairs?
Thanks
The lamp was a vintage find, but in terms of antique fairs google DMG and then two fairs that we go to quite alot, Ardingly and Newark are well worth a visit. Just make sure you go on trade day, £20 to get in but worth it. Also I’ve found some super cool stuff from Kempton in London which is every other Tuesday, opens at 6.30.
Im so jealous of your life Abigail… As mad as it sounds!!!
Hope you found some treasures!
Really wouldn’t be jealous it is quite crazy and I long for it to be a bit simplier, but thank you found lots of stuff
It absolutely amazes me how much stuff you can fit into a single day, you are wonder woman! I hope you get lots of lovely things at Ardingly, I look forward to seeing what you pick up in the scramble
Hi Abigail, I think I spied you and the kids there!!! Good mornings work? I am shattered and now want to rearrange my house……
Next time say hello, shattered also got lots but long long day
I was going to, but you looked like you were on a mission, which clearly you were by the sounds of it. I always get so over excited, like a child in a toy shop. !’m going again today in the mud and the sideways rain, such is the allure! I really look forward to seeing the stuff you found made sense of!!!!
One thing, such terrible coffee, there’s a market for someone….
OHM the coffee is so bad I can’t go near it so stick to hot chocolate although that is pretty bad. Was it with it with these places if we were in Australia or NZ the smallest tiniest little shack would be selling the best coffee. Hope you find lots of stuff
Tnx. I’ll try them one of these days
