Open Call – previewing Delphine Lippens founder of Humble Ceramics

This weeks Open Call highlights the work of a very talented Los Angeles based artist Delphine Lippens. Unbelievably Delphine hadn’t actually sat down at a wheel or worked with clay until a couple of years ago. When I first saw her submission I was blown away with the simplicity;ย her pieces feel rustic and yet modern at the same time and appropriate to any style interior be that modern or traditional. Eating and drinking from hand thrown pieces is a luxury but its something I have done for years it makes food and drink not only taste better but look way cooler as well. Check out our interview below and if you too are a new, emerging, existing artist then email me at as we highlight the coolest work from around the globe!

Thank you Delphine for getting in touch, I wish you much success x

  1. Lovely ceramic designs, all the best on your business journey!
btw just for your information (under “would love” potential stockists) “Atmosphere” in Geneva, Switzerland are moving about now to NY, brooklyn area and setting up shop there.

  2. Wow – thanks for all the encouragement! And thanks to Abigail and her sweet advice I’m working on taming my shipping reluctance and looking into packaging supplies and shippers as we speak …. so there is hope!

  3. I’ve been talking about setting up a home studio so I can do ceramics again. It has been 12 long years and I miss it. This has been really inspirational and I feel motivated to make it happen now. Thanks for sharing you work and philosophy with us. Wishing you all the best with achieving your dreams!
